01Capability

Your brand on our candle

You choose the fragrance and send us your label. We make the candle to the same specification every time, so your second order matches your first.

Four candles from the same production line, labelled for Bro Candle, House of Wax and Borrowed, with a fourth reading Your Brand Here

Four candles from the same line. Bro Candle and Borrowed are brands we produce for; The Oak Room is our own reference candle, and is the specification every price on this page is built from.

From specification to dispatch

Specification
Step 01

Specification

We produce to a single standard: a 30cl flint glass vessel filled with 200g of soy wax at a 10% fragrance load. Your combination is recorded and quoted in writing before any payment is taken.

Fragrance and label
Step 02

Fragrance and label

Select a fragrance from the House Collection or supply your own oil. Send label artwork and we print it here. There is no minimum on label quantity, which is what makes a 50 unit run viable.

Production
Step 03

Production

Poured, cured for fourteen days, checked against the approved specification, then packed for dispatch.

Enter your retail price and run size to see what you keep on every unit. Open the assumptions to add your own shipping, packaging and marketing, and it will show what is left after the cost of selling it.

04Price and minimums

Price per unit

Unit price falls with run size because setup is spread across more units and materials are bought better. Totals are for the candles; delivery is quoted separately.

Minimum order

The minimum is set by the fragrance, not the candle. A scent we already hold and have burn tested runs at 50 units; one that needs testing first cannot.

What the price includes

Included

  • Label printing, with no minimum on quantity
  • Two rounds of artwork proofs
  • The back label, produced as standard
  • Lot coding and retained samples

Quoted separately

  • Delivery. Six units per parcel, so pallet delivery is more economical above a few hundred units. We will tell you where that falls for your run
  • Artwork origination, if you do not have a designer
  • Bespoke fragrance development, £450, credited against a first run of 1,000 or more
05Samples

Assess a sample before committing to a run

A single finished candle is £30, in your chosen fragrance and carrying your label where artwork is available. It is poured on the production line and cured for the full fourteen days, so it is representative of production rather than a mock-up.

Allow approximately ten days. The £30 is credited against your first order at any quantity.

UKPoured, labelled and packed
What is the minimum order?
50 units for one finished SKU using a fragrance from the House Collection. At a 10% load, 50 units is one litre of fragrance oil, which is the smallest quantity that does not leave a part bottle in stock.
Can we supply our own fragrance?
Yes. Supply the oil and its safety data sheet and we burn test it in the vessel before production. That route has a 250 unit minimum to cover testing.
Who is the legal supplier of the finished product?
You are. Your name and address appear on the label and you place the product on the market. We prepare a draft CLP hazard panel from your fragrance supplier's safety data sheet, which you approve before anything is printed.
What are the lead times?
Approximately 17 working days for 250 units from artwork approval, of which ten are the cure. A run using your own fragrance is approximately 27 working days, as the oil is tested first.
How consistent is production between runs?
Your vessel, wax, fragrance, load, wick and label are held as a written specification and every run is checked against it before packing. Each unit carries a lot code and we retain samples for twelve months.
Is the product identifiably ours?
Entirely. You own the artwork, nothing carries our name, and a fragrance you supply is not poured for any other customer.
